The Epic™ from Little Giant Ladders® is a multi-position ladder in its ultimate form. Adjust your ladder to meet the needs of your project, so you can work more efficiently than ever. This tough-as-nails ladder is equipped with a variety of features that set this ladder apart from the rest.
Move from storage to A-frame to extension ladder configurations by pushing in the ladder's palm button.
Gently twist the Rapid Lock, and then slide the rails of the ladder to the desired size. Twist the Rapid Lock once more to lock the ladders rails in place.
The Epic's integrated Tip & Glide wheels help you move the ladder easily from job to job.
The Work Platform is a ladder accessory that doubles as a comfortable standing platform or work surface to hold tools, buckets and anything else your job may require.
Safety Rails extend horizontally in the stand-off position, providing extra stability, and can also be used vertically as a safe walkthrough when moving from the ladder to the roof and back again.

I have the large size little giant which was great and of immense help getting our house ready to sell especially with vaulted ceilings - but it is a honker to use easily especially outside so I was looking for a smaller ladder with a lot of the same features.
I looked as a couple other brands but stayed with the Epic because I already had a couple Little Giant accessories. Plus, I really like the safety rails to get up on a roof. I made extensive use it pruning some tall fruit trees as well as cleaning our gutters.
Pros:
- Adjustable leg extensions were awesome on uneven ground around the fruit trees and the house. Felt very solid and safe moving up and down the ladder even using a Sawz-all, pruners etc.
- The releases to move the rungs up and down as well as to open and close the ladder are much easier to use than the older, big version I have. Makes it really easy to adjust.
- The size is great and I still have the big honker as a back up if I need to lug it out.

I’ve always struggled to find a tall ladder that I felt comfortable on. I’m 6’3” 290 pounds and this ladder felt like a ladder should at heights where most ladders always seem shaky. This ladder is durable and the easy of use is crazy good. For a DIY person like myself I wish I had made this purchase years ago.

Size refers to the ANSI definition of length. ANSI states that the size is defined by the combined length of all rail sections, with a tolerance of +/-3” on each section. Note, this does not take into account any overlap between sliding sections like those on an extension or multi-purpose ladder. This can cause a disparity in the size of the ladder versus the actual height. To determine which ladder you need, Little Giant recommends you reference maximum reach height instead of size.
The terminology for ladder duty ratings, grades, and types can sometimes be confusing. The ladder's duty rating is the maximum safe load capacity of that ladder according to ANSI standards. There are 3 types of ratings that Little Giant offers:
Type I - Made to handle everyday projects. Has a load capacity of 250 lbs.
Type IA- Designed with durability and regular use in mind. Has a load capacity of 300 lbs.
Type IAA- Built for professional performance and rugged use. Has a load capacity of 375 lbs.
Ladder specifications can be confusing due to safety regulation requirements. According to ANSI (American National Standards Institute), the ladder size is defined as the total length of each section and does not account for overlap on extension ladders. As a result, the overlapping sections reduce the total length of the ladder. When purchasing any ladder customers should pay particular attention to the maximum reach to ensure the correct product for the job.
