The Joy of a Hard Day’s Work – Meet Lorena

Finding Joy in the Work

Two years ago, Lorena joined the team of professionals at Thanksgiving Point in Lehi, Utah, as a gardener. Since starting, she has continuously been busy working in the gardens, doing lighting and performing general upkeep of the grounds.

For Lorena, the day starts early. The mother of five children is up before 4:30 a.m. each morning, so she can take care of tasks around the house, before starting work at 6:00 a.m. Although she has an early start to the day, she says she loves the work.

She likes that working through the Ashton Gardens at Thanksgiving Point is so rewarding. The professional gardener says it is refreshing and relaxing to work in a position that allows her to be surrounded by beauty every day. Her favorite part of the job is being able to tend the flower beds, ensuring the flowers are healthy and beautiful throughout the year. The work isn’t always easy, but it’s enjoyable.

How Do Little Giant Ladders Help?

The teams at Thanksgiving Point proudly use Little Giant Ladders to reach the high places in the venue. Lorena and her co-workers love that they feel safe while using the ladders. In particular, she is liking the King Kombo ladder. With its ability to lean against the trees, the King Kombo ladder makes Lorena’s job much easier. She is a big advocate for her work, and her enthusiasm is contagious. Together, Lorena and her team are able to accomplish great things.
