When I’m driving around town I’m always checking out the ladders on peoples trucks. I know, I’m weird but it’s my job. You’ve probably been behind a truck similar to the one in this picture. Old beat up, bent ladders that no one should climb. (Grandpa’s ladders) These ladders also have a very common problem that I want to point out. Worn Out Feet! The feet on your ladder are like the tires on your car. They are made of soft rubber so they will grip but soft rubber wears out and needs to be replaced. If the tread on your ladder feet are worn out, you need to replace the feet. All ladder manufactures sell replacement feet and it’s any easy fix. DON’T climb a ladder if it looks like any of the ones in this picture. Always make sure that the feet on your ladder are clean and in good condition. Climb safe!
